Terms of use

Earntaps is a matching layer. Not an investment adviser.

We use an AI check to sort you to one partner — advisor, planner, tax CA, NRI specialist, or vetted plan. They give the advice. We do not. Here is the rest, in plain English.

1. What Earntaps is, and is not

Earntaps Private Limited (“Earntaps”, “we”, “us”) runs a matching layer. We use an AI check to understand your situation and sort you to one partner — an advisor, planner, tax CA, NRI specialist, or a vetted plan or product. We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser, broker, or portfolio manager. We do not advise on specific securities, mutual funds, insurance products, or any financial instrument.

Every partner on the network is SEBI-registered where the regulation applies. Once you choose to meet, they take on the regulatory and contractual responsibility for any advice they give you. Earntaps is not a party to that relationship.

2. Who can use Earntaps

You must be at least 18 years old, an Indian resident or NRI, and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. The service is built for individuals or households with investable assets and an ongoing need for financial planning, products, or expert advice. We may decline to make an introduction if our check does not find a fit.

3. What is free and what is paid

The Earntaps check and the introduction itself are free for you. The matched partner pays a referral fee to Earntaps when you decide to start a paid engagement with them. Any fees you pay to the matched partner for their services are governed by the contract between you and them. Earntaps takes no commission, kickback, or revenue share from any financial product.

4. The AI check

The check is built to gather context for a match. It is not financial advice. The output may include observations or directional ideas, but you should not treat any of it as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument. Always speak to the matched partner before acting. See the disclaimers for the full boundary.

5. Identity and authentication

We establish your identity via email or phone, and authenticate using OTP, password, or third-party sign-in (Google) where you choose to enable it. Any instruction sent from your authenticated session is treated as originating from you. Keep your credentials private. Tell us through the contact form immediately if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.

6. Your obligations

  • Tell the truth in the AI check. We cannot match well on bad data.
  • Do not misuse the service for unlawful purposes, money laundering, or fraud.
  • Respect the matched partner’s time. If a call is set up, show up or reschedule.
  • Do not share your account access with anyone else.
  • Do not scrape, reverse-engineer, or build a competing product on top of the service.

7. Your content on the service

Anything you upload, submit, or send via the service is content you are responsible for. You agree it will not:

  • Be harmful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, hateful, or threatening
  • Infringe any patent, trademark, copyright, or other intellectual property right
  • Impersonate another person or deceive about its origin
  • Contain viruses or any code that interrupts or damages other systems
  • Violate the IT Act, 2000 or any other Indian law

8. No guarantees

Earntaps makes no promise about investment returns, performance, or specific outcomes from any introduction we make. Past performance of any partner is not a guarantee of future results.

We do our best to vet partners at onboarding and on a quarterly basis. If you become aware of any conduct that concerns you, raise it through the trust & safety form. We act on complaints within 7 working days.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by Indian law, Earntaps’ total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of this service is capped at ₹5,000 or the amount of any fee you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is higher. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or punitive loss, including loss of profits, loss of data, or loss of goodwill.

We are not liable for the conduct, advice, or performance of partners. Once you start a relationship with a partner, that is governed by your contract with them. We are not a party to it.

10. Force majeure

We are not in breach if a delay or failure is caused by something outside our reasonable control. That includes acts of God, floods, earthquakes, fires, strikes, wars, civil unrest, embargoes, riots, lockouts, epidemics, pandemics, acts of government, regulatory shutdowns, large-scale electrical or telecom failures, and cyber attacks.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Earntaps, its officers, employees, processors, and partners harmless from any losses or claims arising out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or your violation of any Indian law.

12. Intellectual property

The Earntaps name, logo, AI check, copy, and design are owned by Earntaps Private Limited. You may not copy, scrape, redistribute, or build a competing product on top of our content without written permission. Personal, non-commercial use of public pages is fine; everything else needs a green light from us at legal contact.

13. Grievance redressal

If something goes wrong, write to us through the support form. We acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve as fast as the issue allows.

Not satisfied? Escalate to our Grievance Officer through the same form, marking the subject “Escalation — Grievance Officer”. The officer responds inside 15 days. Officer name and address will be displayed on this page once the company structure is finalised and registered.

14. Termination

You can stop using Earntaps at any time. You can ask us to delete your data (see Privacy). We can suspend access if we believe the service is being misused or if our vetting suggests we should not continue making introductions. We will tell you why.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We try to resolve disputes through good-faith conversation first. If that fails, the dispute is referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.

Sole arbitrator, jointly appointed. The seat and venue is Mumbai. Language is English. The arbitral award is final and binding. For injunctive or equitable relief, the courts of Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction.

16. Severability and assignment

If any clause here is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. We may assign these terms to a successor entity, with notice to you. You may not assign them without our written consent.

17. Contact and amendments

Questions about these terms: send a note via the legal form. We try to reply within two working days. We may update these terms periodically; your continued use after the new effective date means you accept the changes. Last updated 13 May 2026.
